CranioSacral Therapy 1 Course Description
Few systems have as much impact on the human body as the craniosacral system. It protects and nourishes the brain and spinal cord - and affects nearly every affect of central nervous system performance.
CranioSacral Therapy 2 Course Description
CST2 studies cranial-base dysfunctions as diagnosed and treated by Dr. William Sutherland, the "father of cranial osteopathy". The course material and hands-on sessions will focus on cranial base dysfunctions, the masticatory system - hard palate, mandible and temporomandibular joint; whole body evaluation; and the energy cyst with regional unwinding. An introduction to SomatoEmotional Release will also be presented.
SER 1 Course Description
SER is a therapeutic process that uses and expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy to help rid the mind and body of the residual effects of trauma. SERI offers applications designed to enhance results using CST and other complementary therapies. You will learn about the physiological mechanism of disease and will participate in hands-on training to facilitate the SomatoEmotional Release process. By the end of the course, you should be able to dissipate residual effects of past trauma and negative emotional experiences from the body and mind of your patients/clients.
SER 2 Course Description
This workshop was designed to teach you how the SomatoEmotional Release technique may integrate with various creative imagery and dialoguing methods. By attending this class, you will become more proficient in the SER techniques and focus on the development of therapeutic imagery and dialoguing skills. You will also review and enlarge upon the release techiques for the avenue of expression. The goal is a comfortable holistic mind-body approach to the resolution of problems and obstacles related to patient/client progress and growth.
Advanced CST Course Description 1
Advanced CranioSacral Therapy programs are five-day small-group (10 or 12 colleagues) experiences that combines the benefits of an intensive therapy program with an educational course. Participants have called the experience pivotal in terms of the way they work and live. The paradigm for learning is the experiential applications and exploration of CST, SER and Upledger teachings. Participants explore the principles and practice of Upledger CST which provide a foundation for facilitating healing and the possibilities of evolving this work in your own life - and Beyond. Learn to work intimately, synergistically and cooperatively with fellow therapists and explore your unique abilities and resolve personal issues on your way to becoming and Advanced CST Practitioner.
Listening techniques 1 (LT1)
Course Highlights:
- Discover a new "listening skills" (palpation procedure) that helps guide you to the proper manipulation site.
- Learn to interpret the information the body is offering regarding imbalances and dysfunctions.
- Explore through listening how to determine which body structures are involved, and identify the best approach for treatment results.
- Practice listening to the body systems, as they respond to your treatments.
- Learn to identify the correct approach and amount of force when working on different parts of the body and with different clients.
CST for Cranial Nerves 1 (CSCN1)
The 12 cranial nerves are a key part of our nervous system and contribute greatly to our wellbeing. They oversee the five senses of smell, sight, hearing, touch, and taste. They help to maintain homeostasis and regulation of our heart rate, breathing, digestion, and blood pressure. They assist in maintaining our equilibrium and balance. New research shows that they play an important role in social engagement, trauma recovery, and human survival in mammalian social groups. Like any other nerve or physiological structure in the body, cranial nerves can become dysfunctional due to a number of different reasons: osseous or membranous restrictions within the cranium or cervical region; inflammation; injury, disease, or trauma; demyelination; poor intracranial pressure; or poor vascularization and blood flow.
The Brain Speaks 1 (TBS1)
TBS utilizes all of the techniques and paradigms of CranioSacral Therapy, including direct palpation, all the techniques of Whole Body Evaluation, and Therapeutic Imagery and Dialogue, to explore and work directly with the brain. TBS1 is a brain overview course that introduces a relationship with the brain and teaches students to work therapeutically with the brain and its parts.
CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics 1 (CSP1)
CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics will show you how to work with the special issues that surround the application of CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release as they relate to infants and children. As with all CST and SER classes, this workshop will consist largely of lecture, demonstration and practice. However, this class will also include several experiential exercises, including one SER lab, in order to help you better understand and "meet" children where they are and addresses the special application of CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release and Energy Cyst Release on infants and children.
CST and the Immune Response (CSIR)
The immune system is involved in every treatment we do as CranioSacral Therapists. If the client is experiencing symptoms, there is some degree of inflammation, and the immune system is involved. It is vital that we, as therapists, learn how to work with this very important system of the body.
